Our Founder

N.M. Gehi, Esq

Naresh M. Gehi is a highly skilled immigration and trial attorney based in New York, whose practice focuses on complex and innovative matters in the field of immigration law. As the founder and Principal Attorney of Gehi & Associates, the firm has successfully handled over 15,000 cases, including those related to immigration law, personal injury law, family law, insurance, landlord-tenant disputes, and labor law, among other areas of practice.

Recognized as a renowned figure in immigration law, Naresh M. Gehi has been invited to join the federal litigation committee of The American Immigration Lawyers Association. Recently, he was nominated for and received the prestigious SuperLawyers award. As part of his commitment to his profession, he has been a featured speaker on the Association’s “Ask the Experts” panel, as well as their continuing-legal-education panel on federal district court litigation. He has also been invited to speak before the New York State Senate, where he has testified on immigration policy.

In addition to his legal professionalism, Naresh M. Gehi serves as the personal advisor to the President of Suriname, and has been appointed to lead the legal committee responsible for revamping the country’s immigration laws. President Chan Santokhi frequently seeks his counsel on international and trade law issues affecting Suriname. Mr. Gehi’s significant contributions to Suriname’s economy and his outstanding service have earned him the honorary title of “Honorable” from President Santokhi.
